To Tierra del Fuego

Another (stealth) camping spot. alongside the road, Squeezed
in between a fence and the shrubbery.
The wind down here really has to be experienced to be believed.
As we were riding to the ferry, the crosswind was so bad I had
the bike leaned way over and the gust were blowing me into the
oncoming lane. We were real close to getting blown over.
Then we turned downwind and discovered that we could SAIL!
I think we were doing about 15 MPH with just the wind pushing us.

When we got to the ferry landing, they just quit running due to the
High wind and seas.

Finally after about eight hours of waiting, the ferry started again

The Crash

So we are riding out of Calafate at night. Looking for a spot
to stop and camp. I hit something and my bike whips sideways
and throws me off.

A little tape and it's just like new
So here it is. The separation between the new and old pavement.
I could not see it in the dark and drifted into it. Then i believe my
front tire rode up on the new stuff but the rear tire didn't follow.

The moral of the story is don't ride at night in a construction zone.
especially when it's only dark five hours per night.
